McPhy Energy, a leading developer of hydrogen-based solutions is now closer to their UAE clients. The public listed company on NYSE Euronext Paris, launched its Abu Dhabi operation in May ***6 under the name McPhy-Waterfuel Energy Equipment LLC.
 
McPhy Energy draws on its exclusive technique for storing hydrogen in solid form and its years of experience in producing hydrogen through water electrolysis to design and manufacture flexible production, storage and distribution equipment. They provide easy-to-use, environmental-friendly solutions combining unique safety features and energy independence in the renewable energy, mobility and industry sectors.
 
The Abu Dhabi operation focuses on engineering and supply of onsite hydrogen generation and storage equipment. A significant product line that includes electrolyzers of all sizes, hydrogen refueling stations, solid storage and other gas integrated solutions majorly for the industrial, energy, mobility and power-to-gas hydrogen markets.  McPhy modular systems generate hydrogen at low and high pressures that can be integrated with modular storage to satisfy any type of hydrogen demand, including large installations where hundreds or thousands of Nm3/h (or multi-MW solutions) are needed for new energy markets and large industrial consumers.
 
In the industrial sector McPhy serves customers in the chemical, food production, metallurgy, glass, and electronics. All these industries use hydrogen in or for their processes and with McPhy onsite hydrogen generation/storage systems, the factories are able to produce their own hydrogen and optimize their energy bills. The industrial customers are able to manage their own hydrogen supply; pay only for what they consumed; secure their hydrogen supply and free themselves of all the related logistics; manage peak demand with storage; and drastically reduce their carbon footprint.
 
In the energy sector, where the objective of energy transition towards renewable energy, such as solar and wind with its intermittent nature, makes it difficult to keep a balance between electricity production and consumption. Energy storage becomes a necessity and McPhy provides an answer to these problems with unique solutions based on green hydrogen. Today the development of Intermittent Renewable Energy (IRR) is being hindered on a large scale. As electrical energy is not easily stored, it is often easier to disconnect IRR from the power grid rather than storing electrical surplus. This means energy is lost. A solution for avoiding this energy losses is provided by Power To Gas, or the injection of green hydrogen into the natural gas network. In the case of wind-power production, we speak for example of "making the wind blow into the natural gas network". The Power to Gas concept is to use the existing natural gas distribution network to store electricity losses and move it to another point of use.
 
Hydrogen mobility concerns electric vehicles in which a hydrogen fuel-cell generates electric power to move the vehicle. The main advantage of hydrogen-powered vehicles is that their only emission is water. This allows considerable reduction, at local level, of emissions of CO2 and other polluting particles from internal combustion engines. As an energy transition player, McPhy Energy provides expertise in the field of zero emission mobility and is actively involved in deploying an infrastructure of hydrogen refueling stations branded as McFilling. in the framework of the national plan Industrie du Futur (Industry of the Future) which aims to implement **0 hydrogen stations by ***8.
