Paraffin wax is extracted from crude oil during the production of light (distillate) lubricating oil. These waxes are classified by oil content and refining degree. The fully refined paraffin is mainly composed of normal and branched chain hydrocarbons, its oil content is less than 0.*0%, and it is treated to remove impurities and decolorize.Â
The appearance is water transparent, with blocky and granulated products. Its chemical composition is mainly n-alkanes, and its relative density increases with the rise of melting point.
