Krokees PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from a special variety of olive trees known as (Koroneiki-Maniataki) Â that grows and is cultivated only in our region.
From this particular tree comes one of the most aromatic and highest quality olive oil in the world.
Krokees is located in the Eastern slopes of mountain Taygetos, *0Km south of Sparta, Greece.
Krokees PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil harvesting begins in
early November and is carried out with great care in order to
avoid harming the crops. The extraction of olives takes place on
the same day. This process ensures very low acidity of the olive
oil. Krokees Cooperative Company is the only one in the world
that has succeeded in maintaining the acidity as low
0.3(Category: extrisimo) for the total quantity
of olive oil produced.
