The streets have become dangerous places; mostly after dark but now during daylight hours too. We are bombarded with news stories of children stabbing each other, gangs attacking individuals and an adult is fair-game to a teenager with a knife. Most people ignore these incidents, it is not always clear that the center of attention is being attacked. At other times, it is not always clear where an attack is taking place, especially where the victim is unable to summon immediate help. Most gang attacks look more like a group of teenagers having a bit of horseplay most of us take no notice and attackers are generally bullies who do not like an audience. The Silver Minder personal alarm is the smallest in the Minder range but still packs an earsplitting **5 Decibel sonic alert, which sounds when the pin is pulled out. It is small enough to go in a pocket, or worn on a tape around the neck and leaves passers by in no doubt that someone needs help, either directly or by calling the Police. The key to an effective alarm is it is ability to attract attention; how would your child attract help if an adult tried to abduct them ? How would anyone attract attention ? The Minder is something we can all carry. The Minder is not just for use when someone is being attacked, what about when you are out in the park with the kids when one wanders off and gets lost; if they pull the pin, Mum and Dad can follow the sound. They are also used by rambling clubs; if someone gets separated from a group in the middle of nowhere; pull the pin to tell the rest of the group where you are. The Minder is approximately 4cm x 3cm and 1cm thick. It is supplied with batteries ready to use immediately. It is a well built robust alarm.
