Benefits of Shegoa Milk
Shegoa
milk is easier to digest:
Shegoa milk has smaller fat globules as well as higher levels of
medium chain fatty acids. This means that during digestion, each
fat globule and individual fatty acid will have a larger
surface-to-volume ratio resulting in a quicker and easier digestion
process. Also, when the proteins found in Shegoa milk denature
(clump up) in the stomach, they form a much softer bolus (curd)
than cows milk. This allows the body to digest the protein more
smoothly and completely than when digesting cows milk.
Bio-availability:
Another main health benefit of Shegoa milk, is that it is closer to
human mothers milk than cows milk is. Because it has a chemical
make up that is much closer to human milk, it is easier to digest
and assimilate in the human body.
Shegoa
milk is less allergenic:
In the United State the most common food allergy for children under
three is cows milk. Mild side effects include vomiting, diarrhoea,
and skin rashes and severe effects can be as serious as
anaphylactic shock. Needless to say it is a serious condition. The
allergic reaction can be blamed on a protein allergen known as
Alpha s1 Casein found in high levels in cows milk. The levels of
Alpha S1 Casein in Shegoa milk are about *9% less than cows milk
providing a far less allergenic food. The health benefits of
low Alpha s1 Casein maybe more significant than Beta A2 Casein that
is currently widely promoted.
Shegoa
milk rarely causes lactose intolerance:
All milk contains certain levels of lactose which is also known as
milk sugar. A relatively large portion of the population suffers
from a deficiency (not an absence) of an enzyme known as lactase
which is used to digest lactose. This deficiency results in a
condition known as lactose intolerance which is a fairly common
ailment. (Lactose intolerance and cows milk allergy (CMA) are two
distinct conditions. CMA is due to a protein allergen, while
lactose intolerance is due to a carbohydrate sensitivity). Shegoa
milk contains less lactose than cows milk and therefore is easier
to digest for those suffering from lactose intolerance.
Calcium-rich:
Many people worry that they need to drink cows milk for calcium
intake and the prevention of bone loss. Shegoa milk offers higher
amounts of calcium and the amino acid tryptophan than cows milk,
and much less side effects of drinking cows milk.
Ultra-nourishing:
Shegoa milk is extremely nutrient dense. It has almost *5% of your
daily needs for calcium in one cup. Extremely high in riboflavin,
just one cup of Shegoa milk offers *0% of your RDI (Recommended
Daily Intake)Â needs. Add to that high amounts of phosphorous,
Vitamin C, Vitamin A, protein and potassium.Â

Reaction
to Inflammation:
Some research suggests that one of the main benefits of Shegoa milk
is that it may benefit inflammation. Another reason why it is
easier for people with bowel inflammation to drink Shegoa milk,
instead of cows milk.
Metabolic
agent:
Studies done at the US Drug Administration and Prairie View A&M
University, link goats milk and sheep milk to an increased ability
to metabolize iron and copper, especially amongst individuals with
digestion and absorption limitations.
Anti-Mucosal:
Fat globules in Shegoa milk are one ninth the size of those found
in cows milk, another possible reason why it does not produce
irritation in the gut.
Lowering
Blood Pressure:
Some research suggests that the uniquely high concentrations of
some amino acids in Shegoa milk could make it a natural replacement
for blood pressure-lowering drugs. Goats milk has already been
shown to have three blood pressure-lowering peptides; sheep milk is
even higher in these, but so far no clinical trials (that we are
currently aware of) have been done to prove this.Â
