An injection molding machine is a technology that gives shape to thermoplastics and certain metals with a low melting point. Die casting has been around for hundreds of years. That’s the process of pouring molten metal into a preformed mold to create an article of a specific shape.

The primary difference between die casting and and using an Injection moulding machine is the complexity of the plastic mold itself and the fact that injection molding uses higher-pressure injection of the melted material, as opposed to low pressure, or gravity feed.
