Human epididymis protein 4 Antibody (HE4)
Human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) is a tumor cell surface antigen in
female ovarian cancer. Although cancer antigen **5 (CA**5) is
widely used in the clinical diagnosis of ovarian cancer detection,
studies have shown that HE4 is superior to CA**5 in the early
diagnosis of ovarian cancer, especially for patients with benign
ovarian cancer, HE4 is currently ovarian cancer The most sensitive
tumor marker for diagnosis.
HE4 is found in the epididymis of human epididymis. It is a product
of the selective cleavage of the WFDC2 gene, has a highly conserved
WAP domain, and is a core region of 4 disulfide bonds composed of 8
cysteines.
