A minimum of three briquettes should be loaded at any given time. Â Because they burn much hotter than logs and expand slightly in the fire, it is important not to overload your fire box. Loading to about half the capacity is usually ideal, but try and see what works best for you.
To maximise performance, get the fire really hot before turning down the air flow and refuelling as required.Â

RUF briquettes are made from **0% compressed virgin
oak&beech sawdust without additives or chemicals.
Due to very low moisture levels (only 5%), the briquettes do not
spit or smoke. They light easily and produce a nice burn followed
by a long, hot "glow". (At least 3 briquettes should be loaded in
the fire at any time, but remember not to overload your fire
appliance, as briquettes produce lots of heat and slightly expand
in the fire). The briquettes are very dense and compact, saving you
money, effort, and storage space. Suitable for all types of
fires.
