Self Lubricating Graphite Plugged Bronze Bushings are great for applications where maintenance is difficult and where normal grease and oil based lubricants can burn off due to high temperatures. Graphite film from the graphite plug is transferred onto the shaft as it rotates and acts as lubricant even under high loads and low speeds. The cast bronze base material gives stronger bearing ability when compared to self lubricating bronze bushings. The applications for these bearings include construction equipment, transportation machinery mining equipment etc.

Graphite impregnated bronze bushings are also known as graphite plugged bronze bearings or oilless bronze bushings. Graphite impregnated bronze bushings are great for applications where maintenance is difficult and where normal grease and oil based lubricants can burn off due to high temperatures. Bronze body provides necessary strength to the bearings and graphite plugs acts as reservoir of lubricants.
