Melon seed or locally known as Egusi
in Nigeria, is a grayish white hard shell with a white inetrnal
portion which is the seed itself, delicate and oval in shape. The
seeds are plentiful in protein, omega*3 unsaturated fats, nutrients
and different supplements. Mineral contents of melon seeds are -
proteins( folate, thiamine and niacin, vitamn B6 and pantothenic
acid), minerals(magnesium, copper, zinc, iron, pottassium,
phosphorus and manganes) and fatty acids.
Melons are low in sodium and extremely low in immersed fat and
cholesterol. Thet are decent wellspring of dietry fiber, vitamin k,
pottasium and copper.Â
They develop inside the beefy organic product which is the lump and
are allowed to decay before separating the seeds from the lump or
pumpkin, washed and further put to separation of the shell from the
seed inside, dried and bagged for sales and distribution.Â
They are bagged in jute bags or transparent silonphin bags ready
for sale.
