DBC, as an organic symmetrical dialkyl ester containing carbonyl and butyl, can also be used as carbonylation agent or alkylation reagent in organic synthesis

In this process, DBC, as a carbonyl source and alkylation reagent, has the characteristics of green and safety.
DBC can also be used as the base material of lubricating oil, metal degreasing, leather treatment and other industries, as well as as as the solvent of expanded polystyrene
