Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) is used in Laundry
Detergent. HPMC is a water-soluble anionic polymer, and the

material, made after a series of chemical processing of non-ionic
cellulose ether.The aqueous solution has surface activity, high
transparency, strong stability, and dissolution in water is not
affected by pH.
