Contack is an insect repellent and killer designed
to protect you from insect bites such as mosquitoes, sandflies,
chiggers, bees, ants, ticks etc.
Contack is odourless, colourless and greaseless. Once applied on
your clothes, it will last for up to 2 to 3 weeks. Normal
repellents out in the market only block the receptors of the
mosquitoes from finding us but when it drys off and evaporates, the
mosquitoes will be back for you.
Contack is special because the chemical sticks onto your clothes
that provides you round the clock protection and if insects touch
the chemical, they will fall off and die.Â
Our chemicals are from New Zealand and we want the best for our
customers.Â
EFFECTIVE
The power of CONTACK to kill and repel insects has already been
established by testing in New Zealand that has a cool environment.
We then decided to test in tropical weather (like Singapore) before
we start marketing CONTACK. The results were unbelievable with
success rate over *5%. Only one or two incidents of mosquitoes bite
on one guy. The others who have applied CONTACK over
theirÂ
uniforms and hands were mostly free from insect bites. Those scouts
and friends who participated in this project have issued their
feedback and support for CONTACK.Â
SAFE
CONTACKs active ingredient is Permethrin which is virtually
non-toxic and no systemic effects have been reported. It is an
insecticide approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency for
treatment of combat uniforms. The US Military used Permethrin to
treat combat uniforms for many years to protect soldiers from
bitten by mosquitoes and other insects that may transmit diseases.
The US Department of Defense (DOD) utilized Permethrin as one of
the chemical component in conjunction with key field dress uniform.
CONTACK has been formulated following similar guideline to those
approved by the US Military, the DOD and the EPA.Â
CLEAN
CONTACK is a clean aerosol that will not cause discoloration or
oily stains when sprayed on cloths, uniforms, sleeping nets and
mats, etc. There is no irritating smell even when the repellent
stays on your uniforms for several days. Should there be irritation
on skins, simply wash with soap and water.
HANDY
Our original plan was to produce a *0ml bottle but in our survey,
most scouts, army personnel, hikers, trekkers and bird watchers
suggested a smaller bottle with sufficient contents to last 3 days
would be adequate. We decided a suitable size would be one that can
hold **0 sprays. A *0ml bottle that can deliver **0 sprays and
handy to slip into the pocket was approved. It can in fact deliver
**0 sprays with its mist actuator held ****5 cm from the spot to
spray.
ECONOMICAL
Many repellents can apply only on exposed part of the body. These
repellent stays active on the skin for around 3 hours after which
the repellent strength will be de-activated by the bodys
tissues.Â
It has to be repeated several times a day to have continued
protection against those jungle insects.
With CONTACK, you only need one spray covering the uniform. It
could stay effective for several days. Comparatively you use less
CONTACK for same protection.
THE CONTACK EFFECT
Whilst many repellents have strong odor and apply only on skins,
CONTACK offers an entirely different experience for user. Spray
CONTACK on your uniforms or cloths and exposed skin, walk into
mosquitoes infested bushes. Now you may not recall that you did
spray something on your cloths because it is completely odorless,
colorless and greaseless. You watch the mosquitoes coming at you
and you try to wipe them out with your hands and then retreat. A
few may charge to bite and others try to land on your cloths. Watch
them hover around you, ****0 seconds lapses, the mosquitoes feel
the toxicity rising to fatal level will fly away never to return
again. A few may land on your clothes or hands and you can watch
them trembling shortly before they drop off and die. You can stand
in the same place for another hour but very few mosquitoes will
visit you. You feel like a time bomb to them. Experience the sight
of mosquitoes surrounding you. The fear of being bitten and
witnessing them flying away, trembling and falling off. These are
the experience of The CONTACK EFFECT. The escaped mosquitoes have
also experienced The CONTACK EFFECT but in a different
way.Â
