Coconut Peat is made from waste of coconut husks. It is the ideal alternative to peat moss: with the same technical properties, its production is based on fully sustainable resources, respecting the environment. Our cocopeat products are compressed and dehydrated for easy handling, shipping and use. 1kg briquette: Size *0 x *5 x 5 cm; ****8 litres (hydrated) 4kg briquette: Size *8 x *8 x *2 cm; *0 litres (hydrated) Coconut peat is a growing medium with proved experience. Its popularity is caused mainly due to these remarkable characteristics: * Very good and versatile cultivation tool. * Water is better retained: can absorb up to 8 times its volume in water – up to *0% less watering maintenance. * High aeration: optimal root growth is facilitated. * Perfect drainage: spreads water throughout the substrate. * Mixes perfectly: with other materials to form compost. * Recycling is easy: easily recyclable within a compost or in earth. * Excellent bio-stability: coconut peat remains stable for more than 8 years. * Very pure substance: coconut peat results from pulping (fibre extraction) of the coconut shell, a fruit which grows above ground, the result is free of seeds, bacteria and mould. * Clean to handle: does not damage or stain skin. All products undergo several transformation processes such as: * Washing * Drying * Ageing * Sifting * Buffering and Compressing Standards: All our products are made in Thailand and go through a series of tests which assures the highest quality, equivalent to the Dutch RHP (Regeling Handelspotgronden) standards. Coconut peat is used in different ways: * Enhances agriculture, horticulture and gardens. * Complete growing medium: for numerous types of plantations. * Stand-alone plantations: pots, flower boxes, hydroponic systems… * In-ground cultivation: excellent in improving structure and nutrition of poor soils * Excellent as part of a compost
