Cinnamon bark oil is extracted from the outer bark of the Ceylon cinnamon plant by steam distillation. Oil is reddish-brown in colour. Cinnamon bark oil is considered to be expensive compared to leaf oil since they are extremely refined.
ÂDue to the strong antibacterial, antifungal, antidiabetic, and antioxidant properties, cinnamon bark oil provides a multitude of benefits across many industries.
ÂCinnamon bark oil supports healthy metabolic function and helps maintain a healthy immune system when taken internally. Only one to two drops are needed for internal benefits. Bark oil is used to flavor food and used as a strong insect repellent. Bark Oil is a mood booster when diffused and also a possible skin sanitizer. Due to its high content of cinnamaldehyde, Cinnamon bark oil should be diluted with a carrier oil when applied to the skin. A maximum dilution of 0.1% is recommended for topical applications.
