Detection
Â
The
Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) has implemented a new
product conformity assessment procedure to control the quality of
imports of certain categories of consumer
goods.
Â
The new
program, called the Pre-Export Compliance Certification Program
(PVoC), started on June 9, ***0, was suspended in October ***0,
and restarted on December 3, ***2, but the restart was further
delayed until June 1, ***3.

The
Uganda PVOC project has been fully implemented since June 1,
***3. All shipment batches containing controlled products should
have a certificate of compliance as the certificate of compliance
is a mandatory requirement for customs clearance at Uganda ports
to demonstrate that the product complies with applicable Ugandan
technical regulations and mandatory or approved standards.

quantities exported)

to demonstrate that the product meets all the standards and
technical requirements, the product must undergo one or a
combination of the following evaluation
