Our rotary valves are designed using modern materials to meet the quality of high standards required by industries of today. They are specifically designed for conveying dry products; in powder or granular form; and can cater for products that reach temperatures of up to *0�C and pressures of 1 bar. The casing and side covers are manufactured from mild steel and lined internally with high-grade polyurethane. The rotor arms and shafts are cast as complete units, and also lined with high-grade polyurethane. This means that the product only comes in contact with polyurethane thereby increasing wear resistance relative to conventional steel rotary valves. The main advantage of our Blue Scoop rotary valves is the significant reduction in overall weight due to innovative engineering designs. Other advantages include: • Rotor seizing as a result of product build-up between rotor and casing is not possible with soft tips • Polyurethane linings can be manufactured from food grade (high-grade) polyurethane • Low friction, tight clearance, roller flange bearings are standard on all units • Resistant to corrosive attack from most solvents and petroleum products • All parts are polyurethane cast and therefore easily interchangeable • Vibration and noise from moving parts dampened and isolated • Low friction mechanical seals are fitted onto all units • Rapid filling efficiencies due to effective inlet shape • Easy handling due to lightweight casings • Special design dry mechanical seal. • Minimum cost to refurbish
