Basalt fiber manufactured at a factory produced various sizes,

fiber length from 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm. In addition it is possible to
obtain fibers with a diameter of 3 microns and above. A large

parameters for fiber reinforced concrete products of any
configuration.
   Basalt fiber is designed to disperse the
reinforcement of plastics, concrete, asphalt, mineral mixtures,
etc., in order to improve their properties - strength in bending,
tension, shear, water absorption, frost resistance, crack
resistance, impact strength, abrasion resistance, durability, and
so n . products on the basis of basalt fibers have a high
temperature resistance to **0 C.
According to the research recommended the following fiber content
in mixtures:
- In the porous concrete from 0,2 to 0,5%;
- In heavy concrete from 1 to *0%
- In the dry mixture from 0,5 to 4%
- In the blacktop from 0,*5 to 1%
- In the bitumen mastic from 0,5 to 1%
It achieved the following results:
- Increase in brand-strength concrete up to *0%;
 - Reduction of delamination of concrete mix to *0%;
- Reducing the time of initial and final hardening by *5%;
- Reduction of weight of concrete products by reducing the
proportion of metal armature.
Recommended areas of application of concrete products, reinforced
with basalt fiber:
- Waterworks, construction work with the aggressive
environment;
- Earthquake engineering;
- Explosion without dangerous structures;
- Highways with heavy traffic;
- Bridges;
- Nuclear power plants and related facilities;
- Self-leveling floors, etc.
