AW series microwave links are specifically designed for digital television outside broadcasting where point to point transmission of video with multiple associated audio and communications channels is required。 The system has a split two-box indoor/outdoor construction (EFP type) with the RF head units packaged for long term tripod mounted outdoor use. The separate control units which house the video encoding, modulation and multi voltage AC/DC power supplies can be configured for portable use or rack mounted。 In operation, frequency and power adjustment can be made on the RF head units, whilst master control of all system functionality is available on the control unit front panels. These also incorporate full colour video monitoring and optionally on receive control units a spectrum analyzer facility, ideal for use during set up。 Standard head unit to control unit interconnection is at L-bands by coaxial cable up to **0m in length。
