AINiCo magnets are an alloy of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron,
copper and titanium. They are made through casting or sintering.
They are axis-oriented and can only be magnetised through this
direction.
AINiCo magnets have a high remanence, but a low coercivity. This is
due to its long length in the direction of magnetisation. The
optimum ratio of diameter to length (D:L) is 1:4. The magnetic
field can be weakened by demagnetising influences.
AINiCo is a hard material and can only be shaped by grinding.
Operation temperature; from ***0 °C to ***0 °C temperature
coefficient 0.2% per 1°C. AINiCo magnets are very resistant to many
acids and alkalis.
