Abrasive grade bauxite

Abrasive grade bauxite, the calcined bauxite for abrasive, the most important raw material of BFA(brown fused alumina). Abrasive grade calcined bauxite has an Al2O3 content of ****8% and a maximum silica content of 5%. The ratio of iron to silica should not exceed 3:1. The titania content, important in controlling the crystal structure and the hardness of the alumina grain, must be in the range of **4%. When it comes to calcining, refractory grade bauxite is usually fired at temperatures in the range of ********0°C and abrasive grade at ***0C. Sinocean abrasive bauxite owns excellent genes for kinds of abrasive materials, high content in Al2O3(*7%), low Fe2O3(2.0%max), low SiO2(around 5.0%), TiO2(2.5%*4.0%), perfect chemical composition for abrasive.

Some of this calcined bauxite is used directly as a fairy cheap abrasive product, but by far the largest amount is used as feedstock for the manufacturer of brown fused alumina (BFA) used in refractories.
