RFQ Details

The approved sand shall either be marine sand or sand manufactured/processed from land-based natural materials.
The approve sand shall be regular and angular shaped with ALL the following properties:
1. Angle of shearing resistance at least 32° corresponding to a relative density of 35% and within following limits:
BS EN 933-1: Test Sieve Size 0.063mm 0.2mm 0.6mm 0.85mm 1.18mm 2mm 3mm
Percentage by weight passing through sieve 0-10 0-40 10-85 15-95 22-100 40-100 60-100
2. Combined coral/shell (aragonite) and Silt/Clay content to be not more than 15%
3. Pumice content to be not more than 20%.
4.Shall not contain any debris, peat, unsuitable organic materials or pumice lumps of aggregate sizes.
5.The limits of concentration of material impurities in the sand shall be less than the following below in accordance with EPA3051A standards.
